Welcome on the website of the international colloquium "Itinerant Prophets. Rewritings, Appropriations and Metamorphoses of Prophetic Figures in Islamic Sources", to be held in Paris (September 16-18, 2021).

This scientific event aims at bringing together French and International scholars in order to discuss in a multidisciplinary perspective the function of the prophetic figure in the traditional islamic knowledge, as well as in the literary, ideological and political discourse in premodern Islam.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in September in Paris, both at the Institut du Monde Arabe and at Sorbonne Université. In the meantime, you will find on this website the program of this event and all the practical informations regarding the colloquium.
