The colloquium "Itinerant Prophets" is organized by UMR 8167 Orient et Méditerranée, UCLouvain, CIHAM UMR 5648, Institut du Monde Arabe and Sorbonne Université.

It has received financial and material support from the Institut supérieur d'étude des religions et de la laïcité (ISERL) and Université Lyon 2, the Institut d'études de l'Islam et des sociétés du monde musulman (IISMM), the Institut de recherche pluridisciplinaire Religions, Spiritualités, Cultures, Sociétés, the LabEx COMOD (Constitution de la modernité : raison, politique religion), and the Agence nationale de la Recherche (Projects LiPoL et Prophet).
